What’s going on Part 1.

Hi there again! I’m sorry that I haven’t blogged anything lately. The reason for sewing absence is that I am not finished with some of the things I want to blog about. Somethings are gift’s that haven’t been given yet, and others are WIPs I can’t seem to finish. I have a lot of plans, but plans don’t seem to fall through when it’s sunny and warm outside. I get super lazy.

So far on my list of sewing goals 2016 I have managed to make 7 out of 21 patterns. Not bad, but a very slow pace. It is 6 months until the new year and I do think I may be having a problem finishing it. The reason is that I cannot refuse new pattern releases (or old once that I have just discovered). Just this week I have purchased three patterns. These three:

From left to right it is the Winslow Culottes from Helens Closet, M6740 from McCall’s, and Morris Blazer from Grainline Studio. I am totally over the moon about all three of them, making everything else kinda dull. Unfortunately. As you might notice, these patterns along with what I’m working on right now isn’t on my sewing goals list. It’s hard guys! You see my problem?! I will try my best to actually finish some of the garments, but don’t hold your breath.

Right now I have plans to make a sheer maxi skirt to wear at an upcoming party, a floral Cambie dress since my beloved Mrs. Potts has become so fragile that I can’t use her without fraying her up (I made her before I had my overlock machine and the fabric frayed like crazy, pinked shears didn’t help at all!), some Carolyn Pajamas (the shorts version for summer), and I’m still figuring out the Ginger jeans so that it fits me perfectly.

So that’s my update. I’ll hopefully be back soon enough with a new make. Hubby is going back to our hometown for three weeks so I have to figure out who can snap some pictures with me, or wait until I get home myself. I’ll keep you in the loop!

Wish me luck with my sewing! Sophie out.
