Hello happy people! If you follow me on social media, you might know that I’m currently on vacation, celebrating my birthday (I turned 28 yesterday). But you might also know that Minerva Craft has started their blog tour for Wendy Wards new book! Today is my turn, and although I’m so glad that I’m not in all that snow at the moment I’m happy with my coatigan!
I was so incredibly lucky to be reviewing Wendy Wards newest book “A beginners guide to sewing with knitted fabrics”. I’ve always been a bit afraid of knits, so this book was a huge help. It guided me through sewing with knits and taught me a lot of sewing with knits that I didn’t know before. If you ask me one of the easiest patterns in the book is this cardigan. It’s mostly straight stitching and the fabric suggestion is medium-heavy knit fabric which doesn’t shift as much.
Since I made the long version of the cardigan it has turned out to be a coating, which I’m very pleased with! I’ve tried showing how great the pattern is for transition weather, but it’s hard regarding me living in Norway. January, February and March looks about the same.
