Green velvet for a white Christmas

I haven’t blogged about my Christmas dress so here it is in all its glory.

Usually my husband and I celebrate Christmas eve seperatly and then the next few days we’ll alternate between the two families. After we got married we started to celebrate Christmas eve together. First time was with my family and so this time it’s with his family. My first Christmas eve with the in-laws was great, amazing food and company.

For the occasion I made myself the Ultimate wrap dress from Sew Over It in this stretched crushed velvet. And it’s a forest green color, so pretty.

For me the wrap was a bit too deep, but I fixed the gap with a safety pin. This is a very comfortable dress, I’m planning to make more of this in a more everyday-friendly fabric so wear secret Pajamas to work.
